Rev. Glen Schory
Glen was installed as pastor of FCCGNO on October 19, 2014.
Born and raised in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the son of a Disciples of Christ minister. Glen comes to us most recently from his position as Mental Health Case Manager working for the Permanent Supportive Housing Program at Covenant House New Orleans. He has nearly a decade of experience serving in the mental health field and a combined twenty year history working in the social services field. He is a strong advocate for early childhood education, the homeless, those who suffer from mental health disorders, substance abuse issues, and is involved with eccumenical efforts.
Glen is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He has his B. S. in Organizational and Applied Psychology through Albright College in Reading, PA. He received his Masters Degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University of New Orleans. Glen's religious interests lie in New Testament studies, practical theology, congregational transformation, group dynamics, and pastoral care.
Glen makes his home in the Metairie area with his wife and daughter. He was born in Indiana, has lived in eight different states, including spending his formative years here in New Orleans. He recently returned here after living eighteen years in Northeast Pennsylvania.
